Maybe it's just fun to find the limit of solo.
But, the solo player who don't join any social activities exactly exists.
In GDC 2011, Damion Schube give a talk called " The Loner: Why Some People Play MMOs Alone" which points out his view.
One kind of loner, especially born before 1980 could be a solo player because of work.
But what if there are loners were born after 1990? In general, people always think these kids enjoy easy-type online game but not hard-core one.
As the rate of loner grow up, game developers may pay attention to this issue.
The talk also discussed about how to encourage these loners (Conformity Effect always means spend money together)
Are game developers in Taiwan aware of that?
Is it possible that developers hire people to make Conformity Effect? ex: enhance equipment, gamble, broadcast.
Let's play and see!
